Hot Flashes!!! Oh my!!!!!

My hot flashes completely stopped on the day after surgery, and now five months later they are back with a vengance. Has anyone else experienced this!!!! HELP!!!!

Hot flashes are funny things. I started menopause about the same time as my WLS, so I can't really say if WLS was a factor or not. I'm now 10.5 years out from both, and I still have hot flashes from time to time. I know a lady who's in her eighties and she says she STILL has them!

OMG me too! It was so nice when they stopped! The fat cells store estrogen and with the weight loss the estrogen dumps back into your system. Then it is depleted and they return. I have hypothyroidism and when my TSH gets low they are worse. Doc just adjusted my levothyroxine again, hoping that helps like it has in the past
