Should I be Worried??

I am almost 5 weeks post op.  Last night I mowed my lawn.  I have a self propelled mower and a very small yard(it only takes about 30-45 mins to complete).  I am feeling fine today but do you think my sleeve is okay??  Should I be worried about a leak??  My doctor approved me for more exercise then walking.  He said the elliptical and swimming are okay.  I don't know why I feel like I did the wrong thing???

I had surgery June 2, and was mowing the lawn (a little bigger bus also self-propelled) after the first 2-3 weeks.  I avoided heavy lifting for the first 6weeks, but didn't have any problems.  I've been walking 5000-10000 steps most days since my surgery though.

If you haven't had any symptoms of problems since the gas pains everyone gets have gone away, you're probably good-- but check with your doc , always.

I found that the extra effort of the mowing was better exercise than just walking, so I kind of look forward to it (weird new feeling to look forward to exercise).

My husband was mowing our lawn at 2 weeks post-op...plus trimming, weed eating and blowing.  And it took him a lot longer than 30 minutes.  He was fine...you didn't do any harm.

You're fine.  At 5 weeks it wouldn't have mattered if the mower was a push model.

I'm three weeks out and I mowed my yard. Just like taking a walk.
