Life insurance question
Have any of the vets had any problems getting life insurance once you were at goal for awhile? I don't have enough but cannot afford more than what my employer offers because of my weight. I am hopeful once I get down to goal that I can get somewhat affordable term life.

I have no actual result to help you, but you have to figure a normal BMI with the absence of co-morbidities would help you get what you're looking for.
Just bear in mind that age plays a factor also.

yes, I have read that many who have had Wls have been denied for life insurance because, even though they are basically more healthy, the ins co are worried about the long term effects of the surgery and don't want to pay. Out if ppl who have had Wls re going to start dropping like flies, which we haven't,but. You know...insurance companies.
Some companies will sell coverage to ppl who are two- five years post op if they have had No complications relating to their surgeries.
sorry I can not contribute about getting life insurance....but I can tell you we pay quite a hefty price for private life insurance we've had, and they did tell us that once hubby is out one year from his vsg, and his health is maintained, we can get a much better price.
even if your health is good, your age will still be a factor, as will the amount you want to get.
best of luck!!
