3 week post op caloric intake

I had posted a question regarding my concern over a stall I seem to be having a few days ago and got some really great responses. I have 1 more question for you all about this. As previously mentioned, I am meeting protein and water goals, I am eating about 2 oz 3x daily with one planned evening snack usually around 50 calories. My plan offers no guidance on caloric intake. I was wondering what you all are doing/ have done during this phase. I really could use a point of reference.  This little stall is really shaking me up. I have failed so many times before surgery Nd I feel like I'm failing again.

From what I've read on there roughly 600-800 seems about average. I'm preop so I think one of the vets may have a better answer for ya.

My dr advised me 600-800cal/day as well. It was tough for me at first to get to the 600cal/day but eventually I was able to meet it. I kept the 600/day until about 5 months post op. I have been doing 800cal/day now since. I have had several stalls throughout this past year. They are going to happen, please don't let them discourage you. Just hang on and keep at it. The dreaded stalls will show up BUT they will pass! One thing I learned is try not to weigh yourself everyday. Pick one day of the week and a time. Then weigh that same day and time each week. Also, just because the scale isn't moving does not mean you are not loosing inches! Look at your NSV the same, if not more, than your weight change. Be sure to get in your water. Not enough will cause a stall, or worse, a gain!

My NUT doesn't give a calorie goal - only protein goals.

I have been aiming for the 600-800 cal a day as seen around here.  In the earlier weeks it was in the 400-600 range, and now it is always closer to the 800 now at 5m out.

My doc doesn't give calorie intake goals...since at this time you don't eat much even if you wanted too..the goals i got were for liquids and protein...i'm a month post op...:)

My doc hates calorie questions. So he says a variety of healthy foods. He gets mad if I push. So I aim for 600-800 also. I will up to 1000 later and eventually 1300-1500 for maintenance, which worked before.

I'm 5 weeks out and ranging between 450 and 600 calories a day. I met with the nutritionist Wednesday and she said I was right on target from that perspective but I wasn't getting enough water so my loss has been painfully slow. Hoping now I've upped the water it will start dropping off again!
