Hey everyone! Tomorrow I am 2 weeks post-op which means I get to start the purée stage!! I'm so excited to have something other than protein shakes and broth. I have searched purées on this board and most were older posts so I was just wondering if anyone had some other options. What did you absolutely love while on purées?

I ate well during purees!  Here's a link to the stuff I ate - http://myvsg.livejournal.com/37151.html with recipes where applicable.

How did you purée hard boiled eggs and avocado without liquid to be a tolerable consistency? And other items but that stood out.

Thanks!

In a mini food processor.  Worked like a charm.  (I used it for everything.)

Thanks Gwen! I guess that's where blenders don't work as well. I had horrible experience with my magic bullet and lost a part to my large food processor I need to replace. Sigh. But mini seems smarter in the short term! Maybe a cheap I don't care if it lasts model :).

I just made puréed hard boiled egg with some mayo. I've been unable to tolerate any texture at all yet. Eggs scare me because I read too much and my band loathed them.

I've never been a yogurt fan, but I did find a banana...something....Greek yogurt. I'm hoping I like it because those are crazy in protein. Like scrambled eggs....don't know if I've ever eaten hummus. I've seen it before but never ventured out. Do you eat it straight out of the tub?

I would agree about The World According to Eggface site. Shelly has the best ideas and has just about done everything with food. So helpful.  She rocks!
