We did it.   Glad to see that you are finally home. I hope to go home today and have updates on my site.  I am curious as to why some people have gas pain and other people have none. One of my fears going into surgery was waking up in severe gas pain.  But I woke up and had no pain at all and just had a little pressure on my chest and was gone after a few minutes.   Best of luck.

Are you cold?  Going into surgery I was always hot. A room could be 70 degrees and I would drip sweat. Now my hospital room is 75 and I am shivering cold.  Strange

I was told that due to diabetes my liver was enlarged and therefore required quite a bit if extra gas to give them room to work. My gas pain was pretty bad but got a lot better within 24 hours.

I have had some wicked gas pains.. I'll be glad when those go away.. i feel great other than those. Had a little nausea, but not horrible.   The doctor told me i had done an awesome job on my pre-op diet and my liver was in great shape for the surgery.

Yesterday when i first got home i was cold, today has been pretty normal for me..I'm usually warm (hot flashes, ya know) lol     So glad i have and had this forum to come to for information and support! Thanks!

I wanted to say hi since our surgeries were close. Mine was Tuesday afternoon and I came home from hospital yesterday afternoon. I am not feeling the greatest but this is what I expected. I had horrible gas pains the first night that were so bad I could only sit strait up in a chair overnight. I am feeling much better in that area now sleeping on my side in bed. Drinking is still a challenge but I am pushing it a little. I find the Tylenol leaves me with a burning sensation in my esophagus. Overall I think things are going well. Good luck on your journey. Hope to follow along with your progress.

I had my surgery on Tuesday as well and I came home on Wednesday. No gas pains, just a little pressure in my chest. Whatever I drink I can feel it going down and hitting my pouch! I have been walking non stop! I am so thankful to have this board to turn to. My biggest issue is wanting something more then clear liquid. I am so struggling with that.
