Dr. says that people who come into this thinking it is a cure all might be disappointed, he further says it is a tool how we use it is up to us...just like any tool if used properly it works, if not, it won't.  In other words, it is hard work, not a cure, but a very, very helpful tool if used the right way, that means doing as you are told, following the rules and guidelines set for you...and the biggest thing for me is the support I am getting from my spouse and siblings, and above all, thinking POSITIVE, my glass is always half full...Good Luck to all the August sleevers...and those to follow.

Your doctor is right, if we could all really GET this and remember that the further out we get, the more work this tool requires, we would all be golden.  This is not a cure, there is no known cure for the disease of obesity.

Yep.. that is exactly what my surgeon said... it is only a tool... the surgery alone won't make me lose... I have to work at i****ching my food intake and exercise.

The more I move, the easier it will be for me to lose....a wonderful cycle!!
