I was wondering if any vets that had VSG also have glaucoma. I was diagnosed with glaucoma officially on 7-15. I have read of course vitamins will be hugely important, but have also read rapid weight loss can make glaucoma worse. It's a risk I'm willing to undertake, but was wondering if anyone can share any special precautions that have to be taken or additional supplements.

thats a great question. I just got my sleeve on 8/8 and although I don't have glaucoma, I do have a strong family history of it.

I have a follow up appt this next Monday (8/18). I'll ask that question.

Good luck!

I am not a vet, only 5 months out. I have pigmentary dispersion glaucoma. Pieces of my iris flake off and get clogged in my duct bringing my pressures up. Exercise for some reason releases more flakes. So far so good. I take my drops every day and actually my pressures are better now than before surgery.  Good Luck!
