Is Tomato soup a creamy soup? I'm in the liquid stage after surgery and I'm getting tired of cream of chicken.

Some people skip it because of the acid, I had it with no problems.  You might want to ask your surgeon/NUT just to be certain if it's safe for you.

Technically it is, I have it on my list of full liquids foods I can eat on my  2nd stage of my recovery diet BUT I did get a warning that if it caused acid  to avoid it until after the healing post op diet in my case 30 days after surgery.

Thanks, that why I was leary because of the acid. So, I'll just stick with the chicken.

It was on my doctor's approved list but it just seemed like a REALLY bed idea to me, so I avoided it. I had cream of celery (which I live anyway) and I made bean and bacon soup and blended it. I felt human again when I added those. Good luck!
