I just asked my surgeon today what he wanted for a goal weight, and he said whatever I am comfortable with.  I am already at 100% EWL, but want to get my BMI a little more in the normal range. He is more concerned how my comorbidities are affected by my weight loss (blood pressure, glucose, joint pain), than a particular weight.  I am off blood pressure meds now and my arthritic knees feel better, so he's happy.

my surgeon did not give a goal, but predicted 70% of EWL which is about 210 for me.  i have a goal of 190 to start with but would like 165-170.

Great replays everyone. Although my original goal from the surgeon was 185, I can swing 174. Seeming that I want to get to about 165 anyway just to have some balance lbs
