2 different weights
Can't say that I ever experienced that....Hmmmm. The important goal weight was the one I set for myself. If I had been satisfied with my surgeon's goal, I'd be sitting at between 190 and 200 (He said I would get down to about 180 and then have a 10-20 pound bounce back) As heavy as I was, and as long a time as I hovered in the 300#+ range, I was ecstatic--but in my heart, I set my goal at 150. Glad I did. Love the size 6-8s...Loving it all. Smiles your way, today--I'm rooting for you! bonnie

My doc goal is 60% EWL BUT the number that = 60% keeps changing. I don't know what they are considering the "normal" now. I thought it was the highest MetLife weight for my height and frame (170) but I think whoever is typing things into the computer that day chooses whatever number they want. I'm also not sure what # they are using for my start weight - highest pre-op during the 6m or the weight at surgery.
I keep a spreadsheet of my %ages and BMI and stuff...my % numbers never match theirs for the same poundage.
I'm not stressing over it b/c IMO 60% EWL is not enough lost...I am almost there at 5m out. I can do better than 60% so I don't really care what the actual math is for that #.

My doctor never set a gaol weight but the PA said that I should be between 125 and 150 for someone my height. That is a really big spred. I have set my goal at 135. If I can get to 140 and maintain there I will lose the rest once I have the tummy tuck done later on.
I want to maintain the weight for a few months before I consider the plastics though.
