6 Weeks Post-op and have done awesome!! Now I am feeling very nausea after I eat.....

I am Post op 6 weeks now and have been doing awesome!!  No problems to report at all.. BUT!!

 Just 3 days ago I started noticing that everything I eat is making me feel nausea...(including water)... It is to the point to where I really am loosing my appetite and this can't happen!!  

I have not cheated and followed my soft diet as prescribed by the DR.....I have a little pain on my left side???

Should I call the Dr?  Has anyone else had this???

I'm five weeks out and get nauseated every time I eat, not sure what it is either.

Same thing happened to me starting around 4-6 weeks out. I had an Upper Endoscopy, and a Barium test, and my surgeon saw no issues with my sleeve. Turned out, nausea was how my reflux manifested! I never really got classic "heartburn" symptoms, so we didn't realize that was what it was for the longest!

AS ALWAYS, ask your surgeon, but hopefully, it is something that is fixed as easily as switching to a different PPI. I had to try 4 different PPIs before I landed on good old Prevacid. No more nausea problems (unless I fogey to take it!)

You also could be eating a little too much or a little too fast..

many of us have a tell tale sign that were getting full

most including mine are runny nose, hicupping, or sneezing..

i find that if I eat just 1bite past tone of those signs, I get sick to my stomach..

I am in the exact same situation but 8 weeks out- so frustrating and disheartening and scary.  The reflux comment is an interesting theory.  I am going to research that some more.  Thank you.
