Too Much Fluid?
Hello ..
I am 3 days post-op and am doing very, very well. I have no nausea, only pain is at my hernia repair. My instructions are to sip 1-2 oz over 15 min, but I'm able to sip much more than that without discomfort. Today, I've gotten almost 80g of protein (isopure and protein mix) and 80 oz of fluid (water).
I just want to make sure I'm not doing more harm by drinking more than they recommend.
Thanks!
Awesome! Consider yourself one of the lucky ones :D It's hard to damage yourself with liquid since we've got a fully functional stomach. Don't chug 16 ounces in 5 minutes or something crazy ;)

No harm, only helpful to your organs as they process the fat and toxins it holds. I mixed in salt with my food (or some gatorade or sipped a spoonful of pickle juice so early out to make sure my electrolytes were balanced. I was over 100oz day 3 and drank much more on days once I started moving (exercising) and sweating more.
