Hello

so better day today the nausea meds are helping a lot!

5 days post op

surgery on weds the 20 and home on Saturday the 23rd

This is what I could get in today, I'm trying hard to get in the water but it's not easy

as of 4pm I have had the following with no problems

24 ounces water

2 8 ounce protien shakes with a total of 48 grams of protien

I will have a snack and protien shake for dinner and will try to get more water in

I have also taken 3 10 minute walks but I can't due much more as I have a lot of burning on my left side. It hurts if I move to much or sit to long go figure!

Have I mentioned I love this site thank you all

Sounds like you're doing fine.  You'll be able to get in more liquids comfortably as the swelling in your tummy goes down.  Just keep plugging along.  You may want to try different temperatures with the liquids, just to see if cold or hot sits better with your belly.

You are doing good!  Today is day 6 for me and I can't get 3 walks a day in yet. I just get too tired. As others said you will be able to do more liquids as swelling goes down. Don't forget that your protein shakes count as liquid too!  Keep up the good work!
