My NSV, one I never thought of before!
I went to the bank today to deposit some checks from my second job. When I got my receipt back, there was quite a bit more money in there than I would've thought! Yes, I did just get paid from my other job yesterday, but still. I'm a little over a month out so my payment to the hospital was recently taken out and all the other bills. After thinking about it I realized, I'm not eating out any more. Duh! I used to go to a fast food restaurant pretty much every day for lunch. I know it's horrible, but that's in the past-this is the 40 lbs down, richer, new me!
Can't wait to use that money to buy new clothes!
I have not mentioned this victory to much, shameful how much I spent on fast food and pizza delivery. I've saved enough in 4 months on food to pay for my VSG!
Even with the spending on supplements and protein powder, we've come out ahead. In our bad phases, we used to order pizza, chinese, or su****akeout 3-4 times a week. Maybe more. In our good phases, we still managed to spend an enormous sum on healthier food. Wegman's was my downfall. And now if we order one of my low-carb staples, like a burger without the bun, it lasts me four meals.
Today I suggested going to Wegman's, but I thought on it and realized I already have a ton of food in the house to eat, and will be fine with just 1 or 2 things from the nearby grocery store. So we skipped it.
Glad you were able to save some money! Me, I spent it!, think I'm a closet hoarder of protein shakes/bars/soups etc, I had the what if I need this or that thing going on, hell I still have broth & baby food for the puree stage of my diet & that was like 3 months ago! LOL Great nsv!, good job!
