I was reading online that the FitBit Flex works with MyFitnessPal. Has anyone done this? How does it work? Was it a worth it purchase?

I use both Sara. Once you log into MFP, there is a tab at the top that says APPS. You can download the Fitbit app there. Your Fitbit steps show up at the bottom of your MFP diary and gets calculated into your calories burned/eaarned.

I use my Fitbit everyday and feel it was definitely worth it. I have it syncing with MyFitnessPal so when I calculate my food, exercise and water into MyFitnessPal it shows up on my FitBit. I bought my FitBit when I was traveling in France earlier this year and knew I couldn't exercise as much as I normally do. I wanted to make sure that I walked enough. Since we've been back I find that I walk much more than ever because I am always trying to get in my 10,000 steps. So, instead of sitting at my desk at lunch I go for a walk. I walk much more and drive much less. I really love it.

I discovered that my iPhone counts my steps and automatically calculates my steps into calories burned. I think I had to go into settings through MFP. I no longer use my fitbit. I have the fitbit that I placed in my bra.

Edited to add...I don't get the neat data that the fitbit tracks on the computer though. But I didn't really look at that data anyway.

I have been using both for over a year now and love them. It keeps you honest and the fitbit keeps me motivated.

I use the FitBit with MFP. They sync great together, and it's a big plus having the data shared.
