1 week post-op and worried

I had my VSG last Wednesday and feel like my belly is bigger today.  My q-ball pump came out last night without problems.  I slept well but now feel like my left side is slightly bloated.  I moved around a lot yesterday so I am hoping maybe I just over did it.  I am not having any real pain, just slight soreness radiating around my waist on the left side like a sore back.  The bloating worries me though.  Any advice.

How much are you walking?  Moving around will help get rid of any residual gas and bloating, and help with your digestion too.  Call your doctors office if it is very concerning.   Good luck.

Thanks for replying.  I have been walking around quite a bit.  I actually am out of the house several hours a day and think maybe I overdid it.  Tonight I am pretty sore and trying to cough is awful but I can find just the right position and not feel any discomfort at all so I think I am okay.  Just worried cause my belly didn't feel distended until today.  It is still soft and and only barely sore over where my stomach is.

Hold a small pillow over your stomach when you need to cough, it helps ALOT!
