Pain in lower left side
Hi everyone,
I was just sleeved Aug 26,2014 and although I feel weak, sluggish and uncomfortable I guess it was to be expected. What surprised me was the amount of pain I have in my lower left abdomen! I knew there would be pain there for about 3 weeks but it appears to be getting worse and I am finding it very difficult to sleep or to get up from a chair. I have my first post-op meeting with Dr on Thursday 9/4/14 so I guess I can discuss it with him but was just wondering if anyone else was in this situation a few days post surgery?
I am 13 days post op. My pain was on the right side. They said it's from the larger incisions they made where they took the stomach out it it could be the Dr might have been a little rougher on that side. I couldn't stand at first but now 13 days out I'm fine. I occasionally feel a pull especially when I'm getting in and out of bed. I know it's hard but it should soon go away.
I had similar pain, my surgeon told me it was because that's where he stitched through the muscle. Are you taking your pain killers?

I was sleeve 8/19. Have felt great with no pain and have been very active. Too active I fear, this am woke up with left side lower quadrent "discomfort". Not pain so much but feels like a "stitch" in my side. Kinda hurts when I breath in deeply and a heating pad helps. I have my two week check on Wednsday so hope its gone by then. What is weird is I have had no such discomfort until today. I am taking it a bit easier today.
