bra size

I'm down 52 pounds since surgery on 6/4 (woohoo!!!!!) and finally had to break down and buy new bras. I was fitted today and have gone from 42 to 36! The weird thing is the cup size went from DD to G. Omg! Every time I buy bras I get measured and fitted so I'm pretty sure I was wearing the right size before. My guess is that I have lost so much back fat that the cup size went up when the band size went down. I hope after another 50 lbs the girls will shrink some too. Anyone else go up in cup size after losing?

Cup size is dependent on band size. I.e., a C cup for a 32 band has less volume than a C cup for a 42 band.

I'm saving my money for plastics too! I'll probably need a reduction and lift by the time it is all over with. Big boobs are way over rated, especially after gravity takes over! Lol.

Thanks :) It does a feel great to be down this much weight. Big boobs, however, are over rated!

When I worked at Lane Bryant we would do bra fittings. One formula you can use is: if you want to go up one cup size, but then reduce the chest by an inch. Or vice versa,  you can decrease the cup by one size, but then increase the chest by an inch.

An example: someone can wear either a 36 DD or 38 D. It makes it easier to buy bras. PLUS not every bra will fit the same.

One brand I wear a DD the another brand the D is huge.. it all depends!!

Congrats on your loss!

That makes sense. I'm still pretty hard to fit though. She had me try in at least 30 bras and only two of them worked for me. Maybe after I lose the rest it'll be easier to find something. Thanks!

I just got fitted at Victoria's Secret and was somewhat shocked at my new size. Went from a 42D to 36DD. I thought for sure I had lost a cup size at least. I have lost about 60lbs so new bras were way overdue.
