Bad News..I've been delayed! Lap-Band to Sleeve

Had my pre-op appt today, Nurse comes out and said that BCBS just called them and Im not approved for Band "REMOVAL"..WTF?  My surgeon submitted plenty of clinicals supporting the issues (reflux, esophageal spasms etc)  He told me not to worry, next step is Peer to Peer discussion, thats where the ding dong doctor at BCBS contacts my surgeon and they ha**** out. MY guy said, you'll be approved, no doubt, just gonna take some interesting conversations. In the meantime..my secondary insurance Cigna, wont pick up the second half unless I go the 2 more dietary classes...are ya kiddin me? Why couldnt you Insurance people tell me this before....So I need to restructure my plans, I've made the 2 dietary appts, I need to call my job & Short term disability people to tell them of the delay..

I hate these hoops...Looks like late October for my surgery  :-/

It's all good! Refigure your plan and then work it! I too am dealing with craziness so I am sorry that this is taking a different path for you. Just know that the end results will be most wonderful!
