Getting my brain on board

So, not that I'm complaining, but I think it's weird that I can fit into size 10 pants and dresses and yet I weigh 193lbs... I don't get it. That seems strange, no? For some reason, it's hard to wrap my head around the fact that I bought multiple dresses, from different designers and in different styles, but all in a medium... and yet I still weigh 193.

Again, not complaining, but just trying to get my brain on board with my body lol

This might confuse you even more: I weigh 187 and I am just now fully out of 14's asnd in a size 12 jeans and dresses, and a size L top (in department store brands I can fit a M top sometimes but not always).  I think it just depends on our height and mostly body shape.  I'm 5'4 and hourglass shape.  My advice to you (and to myself) - take it and don't question!  I take more stock in the measurements and my sizes than what's on the scale.  Congrats to you because you truly have come so far!!!

Enjoy it!  I'm a shortie and at 5'3" and 130-135 lbs. I still only fit into a size 6 or 8 (I say "only" like it's a bad thing, it's not!).   The other day I was going through boxes and came across my old cheerleading skirt from high school - junior size 13 mind you.  Yeah, doesn't fit - WAY too small.

Vanity sizing is alive and well but I don't care - I still love the single digits on my clothes!

I have always been bigger than I appear to be.  At 340 lbs five years ago, I was in a 26/28.  At 350lbs (now), I am wearing a size 22 (tight).  At 250lbs (five years ago), I was in between a 16 and an 18, and could wear size large tops.  I have a friend who, at 165 lbs and a little taller than me, was at a 12.  When I get down to 250 this time, who knows what I'll be wearing?  Weight is an indicator of size, but it is far from perfect.

We're all built differently, and carry our weight in different areas.

Clothing sizes are so weird.  I'm wearing a medium t-shirt now at 215, but I was wearing an XL when I was a kid at 180.  The mind boggles and I have to try every single thing on.

I think it has something to do with how the fat is ditributed around your body. Every time I have lost weight in the past it was different from how I am losing now.  It may have something to do with age, or with the sleeve, I am not sure...  I dont care, as long as the scale and the sizes keep going in the downward I will be happy!!

I really wasn't complaining! I'm happy that everything seems to be going down haha I guess, in my head, I always thought I'd be happy at a size 10 or I'd plateau or something... Not that I'd seen a size 10 since high school!  And not that it'd be a bad place to be! I just feel like I have no idea where my body is going at this point, what I'll look like, et****ep picturing my 300+lb face on a bobble-head stick figure body lol

Whatever happens, I really am happy and healthy and proud or the work I've done, what I've accomplished and what I'm doing with my life... as I am proud of all of you in this forum! You're all a huge inspiration :)

I was in a 4 pant at 150 pounds!  I still take a bit bigger on top, but I think it has a lot to do with body shape and how you carry your mass. Vanity sizing also plays a part.  If you pick a 10 year old garment in a 4 and a new one in the same size, the aged one will likely be much smaller.  Designers KNOW ho to market. They know we'll buy those jeans cause they make us feel good if they're a size smaller than what we thought we were!

I legit laughed out loud at "Sweat is fat crying" BAHAHAHA  LOVE IT!

And you're totally right about the sizes and changes over time... It's nuts!
