Force myself to eat supper?

So I have been on a liquid diet with a meal of salad and one protein for supper for 17 days now and I have found myself the last few days forcing myself to eat supper. I am just not physically hungry, my mental hungry has decreased by 3 fold and normally hits late at night. So I have 2 protein shakes for the meals for the day and nothing else, that like 320 cal's for the day and 60 grams of protein. So what should I do??

My Dr has drilled into my head at every visit NOT  to eat if I'm not hungry.

I'm having the same problem. I could careless if I eat at this point. I know I have to eat something...I can't even stomach my protein shake.

Make sure you get enough protein in.  You are going in for surgery soon and your body needs protein to heal.

I agree on the protein issue - a guy of your height with a normal lean body mass should be getting in around 100g per day to maintain your musculature (I aim for 105 minimum to support my 150+ lb of lean mass). I would try to bolster the protein shakes (add another one or increase the size of your current ones if they aren't pre-measured) and call it a day if you aren't hungry enough for supper.

If I only ate while I was hungry, I would starve and die.  I recommend planning your meal times and eating on schedule.

Maybe switch your meals around, have a shake for breakfast, your protein and salad meal for lunch and then sip on your other shake in the evening. That way you get all your nutrition in but you won't feel so full at night that you don't want the shake. Isn't it great to not have the food cravings controling you now? Best of luck to you!
