I am 11 1/2 weeks post op and on most days can't eat breakfast  comfortably but am finding tha****ermelon goes down easy almost every time. I know watermelon has no protein and  I'm hoping some day breakfast won't be such a problem, but for now at least I don' t have the gnawing hunger.

I am 5 mos post op and have been eating watermelon all summer with no adverse effects and steady weight loss.  I'm not an expert but i would say so long as your daily totals add up, i don't know why it would be a problem....however, i'm sure you will get a wide variety of answers.

Watermelon is basically sugar water. Can you do a protein shake instead?
