Inserting photos in posts using Mac?

Well, I've exhausted my limited knowledge of how to put pics in posts. I used to be able to 'haphazardly' do this by moving them from the Photos section of this website or from Photobucket, but even that is not working now. Such a shame that this website makes it so difficult :(

I'm wondering if someone could provide step by step instructions on this from Mac or from Apple mobile products?  It certainly wouldn't hurt to include Windows instructions here too!

Hi there.  I stopped posting pictures when all my pix came in sideways.  I just don't wan to deal with it anymore.  Sad.

I mostly use an Android tablet, and inserting pictures on OH is not possible. The icon isn't even there. On a PC, the picture insertion icon is next to that for links and emoticons.

I have no idea if this is similar for Apple products. Maybe you can't with iPads and iPhones, but can with Macs?

I've never done it from a mobile platform but on my MacBook.  I have to upload the photo to my profile first and then I right click on the image, copy the image URL and use the
"insert/edit image" icon in the menu above (looks like a little rectangle with a mountain on it).  This requires having multiple tabs open - one with the post-in-progress and the other with my profile open so I can copy the image URL for all the images I am using.... Does any of this make sense?! lol  It's a little sad that none of this is easier but I do find this to be the case on a couple of sites like MFP and bariatricpal as well.

That worked, thank you!  Pic was massive though, so I grabbed the corner to resize it in the post - I suspect there's an easier way, but likely beyond my capacity.  But the important thing is this method works!  It's really unfortunate that this website is so cumbersome, but I'm glad to now have a way to occasionally post a pic.  I hope others will put this method to work to because we all adore pictures, don't we!!

So, when you paste the URL in the image box, there should be numbers automatically populated in the dimensions boxes... Keep "constrained" checked and just make the first number smaller.... It will automatically change the second number and that changes the size of the image.  I always half it automatically and see what it looks like...
