So it's been six weeks and I'm down 23 pounds since surgery

for some reason I just don't feel that's as high as I've seen others on here?

Im never eating over my calories and I'm getting in all fluids walking everyday! So what's going on?

My surgeon is happy with my progress but I really thought I would have lost a little more by now.

I was originally 255.5 and on surgery day was 231.5 today I weighed in at 208.5 am I considered a lightweight??

Also I'm cleared for all food except nuts. 500-700 calories a day I avearage 600-700 now.

You're doing just fine. Just make sure you're logging all your food and liquids, exercising when you are allowed, and following the rest of your surgeon's recommendations. The weight will come off. Congratulations on the hard work so far!

24 pounds in 6 weeks would be about 16 pounds per month.  That's a nice rate of loss.

I know this is hard, but try not to worry too much about how fast you are losing and try to look at how much healthier you are every week.  Ultimately, when it is all done, does it really matter if it took you 6 months or 12 months or 18 months to get to goal?  As long as you are headed in the right direction, you'll get there.  And every week you are healthier and healthier.

Looking back, I wish I could have relaxed a little and enjoyed the trip rather than worrying so much about the scale.

best wishes,

Carol

Comparison is the enemy of success. Someone will always lose faster no matter how fast you lose or how much you exercise. Don't compare to anyone but yourself and follow your plan. You'll be good

And yes, you are considered a lightweight if you have 100 or less pounds to lose.

Thank you all so much you're all right! Just take it one day a a time!!

One pound at a time! I had a total of 105.5 to lose to be at a healthy BMI so I'm a borderline lightweight!! Lol

58 pounds to go!!
