26th Birthday// 7th month Surgiversary Post Combined ^.^ (Pics included)
My 7 months was on Sunday and this past Tuesday was my birthday. To date I have dropped 90 pounds since my surgery weight of 240, landing me at 150. Currently on my way to my revised goal of 140, which I hope to hit before I leave on holiday vacation to Cancún.
I have to admit this past month the carb monster creeped over me, I didn't go crazy with them, I just tended to accompany my meals with a little piece of hard tortilla, have a chip here and there.... I then stopped after a couple of weeks, I couldn't keep it up because as soon as I went to protein and good carbs for me (veggies) and eating with a fork I didn't miss any of it, I feel satisfied quicker and I end up eating less. I dropped 5 pounds this past month, which I am happy about even though I had the carbs issue, I was working out hard and always counting my calories even with the carbs lol.
For my birthday I wanted to stay home and take care of the meal we were going to eat. I opted to make filet mignon medallions wrapped in a piece of bacon, some brawburst sausages and a salad. I only ate about a third of the medallion, a fourth of the brawburst and poked my salad lol. I also bought cheesecake (which will always be my favorite) and had a small slice after about half an hour after dinner. Instead of focusing on the food, I had an amazing time with my family, I enjoyed the picture taking moments and never minded if it was a full body shot or not. I had never had a healthier birthday, being a size small tops and 8/10 pants is amazing!!!
A little more, I went to a concert for my favorite artist last Friday and he was amazed with my change (we're close so he knows me) and on a NSV level didn't get tired AT ALL standing there really early so I could be front and center. I didn't mind not drinking water because before I got there I had done 80+ ounces of water. I felt so care free and happy. I posed for pictures with the fans, I was finally feeling that I wasn't trapped in a body that I had destroyed. I'm so thankful for the chance to be a healthy and happy human being.
Here are some pics, the first one is me on my birthday a couple of years ago, where I probably was my heaviest (260 something)... The second one is me this past Tuesday before my bday dinner. I love my long legs for sure, I was 5'8 before surgery, I'm sure I've "grown" a tad. lol
