Hello all...I had the sleeve on last Friday, 10/10. I am on my post op liquid diet. My mouth is do dry...I am drinking my fluids but it is still dry. My question, can I suck on sugar free candy?? Has anyone else done this??

I haven't heard of sugar free candy being allowed. The chewable supplements are already two sweet for me and I am not at all sure they are sugar free. Try sugar free ice pops!

I am 11 days post op. I am on liquids only right now and my doctor and NUT does not allow SF candy, or any gum. He says it only make you hungry

Thanks guys. I figured they probably wouldn't be allowed, especially because if you accidentally swallowed it, that would be bad. I'm just trying to have a variety. I don't like yogurt or milk so my choices are very limited. I know we are allowed sugar free popsicles, what about sugar free fudgsicles?? Or frozen yogurt??

I'd ask your surgeon to be sure, but I suck on 1-2 regular (NOT sugar free) Ricola a day with no problems.

How much fluid are you getting a day?  I think I'd rather work on getting in more.
