Protein Shakes
I was only drinking shakes for the first 2 weeks. For the next two weeks I was doing 1-2 shakes a day plus three 1 ounce meals of pureed foods. From there I went to 1 shake a day with 3 meals, and those meals were 2-3 ounces.
Now, 7 months out, I do one shake a day plus 2 meals that are 4 ounces each. I figure I'll be doing a shake a day for forever because it's a good breakfast for me. I spend most mornings exercising, and I don't like eating solid foods in the morning as a result. A shake works out very well to get my protein in and also give me nourishment to sustain my exercise!

I second Gwenmo. I'll probably have a shake a day for life. Not too heavy for breakfast, I like the taste of mine, and much easier to get all your protein. Why not? At 16 days out I was only allowed shakes and clear liquids till day 21 when I started purees.
Like the others who posted here, I am still doing a shake once a day. I find I do best when I use it as breakfast, I think the big push of protein first thing in the morning really helps my body. I use protein powder and mix it with about 16oz. of water, although I don't measure the water, just dump the powder in a canning jar, top it off from the tap, cover the jar and give it a good shake so it could be a little more or less fluid each time but basically I'm going for 16oz. It takes me at least 30 minutes to fini****
I am 8.5 months out and I still do a protein shake every day for breakfast.
While my shake can be either RTD or powder mix, I am drinking about 16 oz of fluid in total. I find them too thick so I add ice/water and blend to thin them and make a more "shake-like" texture.
I drink my shake during my morning commute; it takes me about 25 or 30 mins to get it in.
I expect I'll do this for quite some time to come. It's one of the best ways for me to ensure I get enough protein in my diet and it works well for my morning routine.
