Former SSMO: Guess who is at GOAL!?!?!?!?! (w/pic)
Time to unveil the incredibly smaller, lighter ME!!! I have currently lost 307 pounds! Yes, you read that right...307 pounds. A SSMO wins with her VSG!!!!
How has my life changed? Here are just a few ways:
* I was taking 15 medications at surgery date. Today, I am taking 2 "lifetime" meds.
* My stroke risk is now less than 1% based on extensive testing.
* I no longer have Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Sleep Apnea, etc....
* I have completed 4- 5K's since June, with my time improving at each one.
* I went from wearing a size 5X-6X to wearing a size SM/size 4-6
* At my highest, my BMI was 84.5. Today it is 26.4
* My waist has shrank from 89 inches to 32.5 inches!!! My waist would be even smaller if I didn't have tons of extra skin.
* Plus, so much more....
Through my entire journey, I have stayed 100% on plan - 100% of the time. Has it been fun? No, but I didn't go this route to have fun. I went this route to save my life!!!
While I have hit my personal goal (I blasted past my surgeon's goal months ago), I'll just ride this ride a little longer to see where I finally settle. A girl has gotta have some "wiggle room" when finally calling finished. :)
