2 Months Out
My wife and I had VSG surgery two months ago today. I've lost 52 lbs since surgery and she's down 36 lbs. I'm like 1/8 of a pound away from being half-way to my goal.
But the weight is coming off soooo slowly now. It took me four days to lose 1/2 pound. I lost about 1.5 lbs one day. The next day I went up 1/4 pounds Stayed the same the next day. Then down .4. And finally down .9 on the fourth day.
I know it's normal but it drives me crazy. I know, don't weigh every day but that would drive me crazier.
I'm hoping to be at my goal by January.
When I wasn't dieting, and was just eating whatever and gaining, I avoided the scale, fearful of how much I had gained. Maybe you can play that same game and decide to stop weighing because of fear of the result. Once I got out of the habit of weighing everyday, it was easy to just ignore it. Maybe you can psych yourself out too.
Your body can fluctuate because of fluid as much as 2-4 pounds. Measure, and use your clothes as a gauge for how you are doing.
Hang in there!
And this is why I love TrendWeight. Otherwise those daily fluctuations would drive me insane!

I will be two months out on Monday. I weigh myself once a week and was going along swimmingly until this week. Nothing lost. Zero! Ugh! My doctor told me this would happen, and he was right. So just hang in there.
The great thing is that while in the past such a lack of progress would frustrate me and send me right to the double-stuff Oreos, this time I have no choice but to stay on the program. My stomach won't let me do otherwise!
