Thank you so much, Catherine!!  A cousin took this before pic of me and actually put it on Facebook, at the time, i hated it and wasn't happy she shared it, but now I am glad to have it. Like you, i stayed a long ways away from the camera before.  3 months ago, i didn't know how good i would be feeling now, wish i had done this years ago!

Wonderful change. You look great!! I'm getting ready to go and I'm scared to death. How bad is it? I worry about not being able to eat normally and socializing. Do you feel like your entire life has changed? I know it must feel great to have that weight off. Easier to move, exercise, do chores. What would you say were the best and worse parts?

Hi Bonnie..thank you!  I have had a great experience so far, so i can't say it was bad at all.  I had an awesome surgeon, everything went well. I come home after one night in the hospital, took pain meds that night, and that was it. Was up walking the next day..  It has changed my life.. all for the better! I really wish i had done this years ago.  I am okay with the fact that i can't eat "normally", that is what got me to the weight i was at.  I haven't found anything i can't eat.  The chinese buffet restaurant has always been my favorite place to go, and i still go.. not as often, and i certainly don't eat as much as i used to, but i am still able to enjoy it.  I socialize like I used to .. except the focus isn't on food, or drinking now. I went to a BYOB dance this past weekend, took flavored water, and a protein shake..had it in a travel mug, no one knew if i was drinking alcohol or what, and I had a ball!

Thanks, your response makes me feel better. I'm only on day 2 of my pre-op diet. I go November 18th. I just can't stop thinking about it. Your experience sounds so positive that it makes me excited. Hope I do as well. I'm a bit older than most who do this though. I will be 63 on November 15th!! Yikes! I hope you continue with your great success and again you look FABULOUS!
