Surgery Date: August 6, 2014. (Dr's Goal weight for me is set at 162~My Goal Weight is 145. (I think, will see how i feel at 162!)
Weight at Start of this Journey - 243.5 , SW 228.5,
Thank You, Lemily! I hope to keep on shrinking.. still have 34 to my Doctors goal, then i want to lose at least 15 more if i can.. :) Working this sleeve as best as i can!!
Not to compare apples to apples, because you just can't with these surgeries...however, I started out at about the same weight as you, 245 and my surgeons goal is 160 (which I am 1/2 lb away from meeting), my personal goal is 145. I am almost 10 months out from surgery. You will definitely get there!
Biggest piece of advise, as I approached goal, my weight loss obviously has slowed HOWEVER, my inches and body have changed dramatically. So even though I have only lost 15 pounds in the past 3 months... have gone from a 14 to an 8/10 in pants! I never ever would have imagined that. So, don't run out and buy a whole new wardrobe...buy sparingly and cheaply and wash often lol. And if something is too big now...buy the next smaller size because that's what's going to fit...for a little bit a least :)
We do have about the same stats! My doc said 162, i want 145-147 or so. I am only 5' 2 1/2 inches tall.. Congrats on being only 1/2 pound away from your Dr goal!!
Thanks for the advice on the clothes, inches, etc. I got into a size 16 this past week (was able to "shop" in my closet..lol). I love thrift shops, so that is where i will be doing the rest of my shopping until i get to goal.. then, i told my husband he better watch out..lol.
I hear ya! My biggest NSV yet was buying a pair of 8/10 JUNIOR size jeans in Ross for 9 bucks! I was stoked! I had saved all my "skinnier" clothes which were 16s for when I was "eventually" going to lose weight (presurgery mind set)...and then I literally blew right through those 16s! Keep on going!
