Hey There! I had my surgery at 7:30 am, my Surgeon is an amazing woman! She had Justin Timberlake playing in the background and was ready to go!  I was out like a light and remember nothing!

I had VERY little post-op pain. Mainly its gas from the actual maneuvering of the removal of the stomach that causes the most discomfort. Yes, I was up and walking at 1 PM, but I was woozy. I walked again at 4pm, 4 laps around the floor this time, then at 6:30, I snuck down to the gift shop to buy my Mother a birthday card for tomorrow! I do not have any hunger pangs, but am eating ice chips all day due to the sore throat from the anesthesia.

It's midnight now, and I hope to be discharged around 4 or 5. Feeling very excited and hopeful.

For those getting ready for surgery......TAKE A ROBE with you to walk the halls, it will make you feel more comfortable walking the halls, chap stick, and mouth wash to rinse your mouth and gargle.  The hospital mouthwash is really disgusting!

I was a bit nervous prior to surgery, if I can answer any questions since their fresh in my mind let me know.

Also for all those who have been through the surgery, if you have any suggestions about what I should ask for/take home from the hospital that would be great as well!!
