Stall

I am really beside myself. I had the sleeve on 10/29 and have been the same weight since Thanksgiving. I am using Fitness Pal to monitor what I'm eating. I'm getting all my protein, fluids and between 600-800 calories in per day. Im also hitting the gym 4 days a week and today was the first day in years i actually jogged on the treadmill. I have heard stalls are common but I'm getting so frustrated I want to cry. I'm doing everything I was told, I just hope all my hard work wasn't for nothing.

Stalls are totally normal throughout this whole process.  Keep to your plan and you'll reach your goals.

Don't get discouraged.  Keep doing what your doing and it will happen for you.  I keep thinking I'm in a stall and after 7-8days, all of a sudden I drop a couple pounds.  Your body is adjusting, just be patient.  People on here encourage you to keep track of your measurements also.  I didn't lose a pound one week yet lost 1" off both my waist and chest.

Just seems odd to me at how slow my progress has been. I am 6 weeks out on Thursday and have only lost post op 17 lbs. I have more then half my stomach cut out and that's it. Preop I followed to 2 week pre op diet and lost 13 lbs in 14 days. Seems weight loss was quicker pre op. Very frustrating but ty you both for your encouragement.

Hang in there...we're on the same track!  I lost

way more pre-op than I have since surgery (2 days before you), but it's still coming off as are the inches!  It's not a race...it's a marathon.

5'5" 64 year old; HW 219; SW 199; CW 129; GW 145ish (original)...now on to "ideal" (138)...got that...now a few spare (132)...got that one, too! Now for the 120's!! Made them...now for the "dream" weight...125! Well, that one's proving to be a little tougher!

That's over 2 pounds a week post-op!  That's awesome.  How fast were you expecting to lose?

I never really looked at it that way Gwen! Great point. Thanks everyone for your encouraging comments!

Get used to stalls.  I lost for 3 weeks, stalled for 3 weeks, dropped 10 pounds the next week and have been stalled again for the past two and a half weeks.  Just getting over the first stall reassured me enough to not be panicked now in the second one.  And this is all in the first 9 weeks after surgery.  On the bright and reassuring side, during the 4 weeks that I was actually losing I dropped 33 pounds!  Keep your chin up!

I will just have to get used to the stalls. My mind always starts running away with me thinking I am doomed to stay at 224. Lol

Hang in there :-)  I had a 4 week stall and now I'm in my second one (it's been almost 3 weeks so far).

Like you I get frustrated, then talk myself back from the edge, lol.  Just follow your plan and the scale will eventually give in.

I am, what I believe to be, a slow loser - I lost 29lbs pre op, and 26lbs post op.  I had hoped to lose more being nearly 4 months out.  This means I lost more in the 4 months before surgery than after.  I just keep telling myself "patience!".
