I weighed this morning and have lost 51 pounds since I started the pre op liquid diet on 9/5/14.  I'm am

following the directions my surgeon gave me but I still can't believe the scale or the mirror.      Shopping is so much fun and so is just about everything else I do now.  I'm so glad I decided to have the surgery  I still have a way to go, but I never thought I would lose the weight so fast. I could not even understand that I would not be hungry.    I had many people tell me not to do it because I only weighed 216. Glad I didn't listen.

216 could be a lot depending on your height and frame. They would have never approved if you didn't have a high enough BMI. So let them talk.

Congratulations!  Yes, this surgery is amazing and many of the folks that told me that I was crazy now are on my side and asking more questions.   When you have 80 + pounds to lose does it really matter what your starting weight is?

Good luck and enjoy the ride.  Life is so much more fun 50 pounds lighter.

Congratulations! You and I were very close in weight (i was 224) and I am now 53 pounds and I cannot believe it! I can't wait to go shopping I have only bought jeans but I am waiting on clothes until I am at goal. This surgery has been the best decision I have ever made.  Congrats again on your loss, glad you are so happy!
