Just passed 2 months out
Yolanda, hey!! We are in exactly the same boat girl. Even at the same weight right now. Maybe you saw my earlier "I am a lollipop" post. Big tummy, barely shrunk, but much smaller arms and legs. Still wearing my pre-surgery pants cuz my gut is so big but sporting the MC Hammer look on the legs with how baggy they are. Feel the same too what with the snacky urge. Usually I keep a string cheese stick with me to have something to munch on if the urge strikes. Only 5g protein but low fat and no carb.
Keep in touch!
I'm so glad to hear you both have the snacky urge! I'm only 3 1/2 week's out, but I have it all the time. Most people on here make it sound so easy and I'm thinking there is something wrong with me because I think it's so hard. I keep thinking I'm going to be the one this doesn't work for. Good luck to you both and keep posting your trials and tribulations. It really helps to hear other people's worries. It makes me feel less crazy! LOL!
Hi Bonnie!
You're definitely not crazy. I started feeling that hunger/snacky urge at about where you are now. I dismissed it as head hunger, but I'm beginning to think it's not. I am right there with you on the thought of being the one it doesn't work for. With my 7 lb loss in month 2, I have gotten very frustrated and have felt like a failure. I'd love to keep up with your progress!!
I'll keep in touch! It's great to swap stories. I'm probably heading for a stall right now. Everyone says it happens around 3 weeks out. I've lost about 20 since surgery. I only lost 5 on my pre-op. I feel so much better knowing you feel the hunger! I just had it now and made a diet Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate! I got that from Go Blue Girl. I always notice she has this for a snac****ep in touch.
It helps to know I'm not the only one! I keep reading people posting how they "forget" to eat because they don't have the hungry feeling at all and I'm like "WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO ME THEN!!??" I feel hungry often, but am satisfied with very little food which is good, but I wasn't expecting to feel that hunger so often!
I love the MCHammer thing, I should have saved my pants from the 80's, huh? LOL! I really hope I even out at some point!
Oh! And regarding clothes - It took me at least 50 pounds to need to start wearing smaller sizes. I figure that the clothes I was wearing at my max weight were too tight and ill-fitting. So before I got to smaller clothes, the ones I was wearing needed to fit correctly! And, due to the way I'm losing weight, I ended up just giving up on pants and switching to skirts. I got about 10 elastic waist "one size fits all" skirts in various colors and patterns and they're so much easier. Plus I figure they're a good investment since they'll take me through MANY sizes. They're also super comfy :)
