8 months post-op - 118 down with pics!
Hi, all! I'm a bit over 8 months post-op and really quite enjoying life these days. I feel like I've hit my stride with my diet - I've embraced a ketogenic way of life, having realized how much better my body feels without sugar and grains. I realize that it isn't for everyone, but I truly don't feel deprived eating this way and I think it is a sustainable way of life/eating for me. I can climb a flight of stairs or three without getting winded and I'm feeling stronger and healthier with each passing day. In the last week, I've had 3 different people not recognize me; what a strange, wonderful journey this has been so far. I don't mean to sound like it's all rainbows and butterflies - it's hard work meal planning, finding the motivation to exercise, and stalls plain suck - but it's amazing to think of all that I've been able to accomplish since April. It's entirely likely that I'll go from the 300s to the 100s in 2014, which is just mind-blowing to me.
