After 6 loooooong weeks for Protein Shakes I finally get to the pureed stage on Monday!  I'm actually a little scared:)

Can you tell me what was the first thing you ate during this stage AND what was the best thing you had?

Thanks so much!

Cottage cheese was my favorite and still is! Funny how your taste changes. I was just looking for taste and you can eat so little of anything you barely get to taste it. Loved Greek yogurt before surgery. Now I don't like it. Tuna salad was one of the first pureed I had and that went down pretty easy. I pureed cauliflower but that didn't have much taste. Good luck. You just have to experiment. I was allowed mashed potatoes and applesauce but didn't eat them because they didn't have protein. Hope you do well. Measure!!!

Baked ricotta from Eggface's pureed ideas.  I was so sick of everything sweet and cold that I couldn't wait for something warm and savory.

I ate a scrambled egg the first time. I think my favorite thing was tuna salad with melted cheddar on the top.

Today I'm 2 weeks post-op and started puree foods. I was given a list of foods to try; yogurt, pureed sf canned peaches, cottage cheese, sweet potatoes, cream soups, sf pudding and cream of wheat. After six weeks, you should have not problem getting puree foods down. Take it slow.

It was all tasty.  I liked the curries the best - so much flavor!
