8 months post op come Christmas day. I would have in a typical day, Chike coffee for breakfast, 3 small/medium sized meatballs or a tuna packet for lunch, grilled chicken strips or a hearty chicken soup for dinner.

I also eat snacks like mini cheese, or beef jerky, protein bar or almond butter packs, low carb biscotti, or a little bit of flavored popcorn. Popcornopolis is my favorite indulgence will only eat a very small amount due to all the carbs, but is still my favorite treat.

I have that along with 64 - 90oz of water & my vitamins.

8 weeks Monday!  I drink at least 64 oz of water daily and get 70-100 oz of protein (usually 1 Premier and 1 Greek yogurt everyday).  I snack on raw cashews all the time and I'm a huge fan of Wendy's chili (even though I can only eat half of a small cup...my husband thinks I'm a real cheap date!)

Hi, could you give an example of a typical day for yourself. Foods and amounts you eat to get all that protein. Thanks. Bonnie

Be glad to!  I try and get to the gym around 6:00am and work out for about an hour...during that time I keep a 32oz bottle of water with me and usually finish 2/3 of it before I leave the gym.  I have a Premier (30gm protein) on the way home.  I finish the water as soon as I get home and refill for the day!  Usually about 9:30-10:00 I'm hungry again...so I have a Greek yogurt (15gm protein).  I love the Dannon Light and Fit with cherries.  For lunch a lot of days I have Costco's almond and cranberry chicken salad (13gm protein)...comes in 4oz containers, so it works really well.  Most days I have a handful of raw cashews (4gm protein) in the afternoon...they're real chewy!  Dinner depends on whether I'm in or out of the house!  In the house I'm going to probably have yogurt (15gm) or another Premier (30gm).  If I'm out...Wendy's chili (15gm) is my favorite.  So...total for the day...64oz of water (plus any shakes...I don't count those in my liquid totals) and 77-92gm protein.  If I have the carbs left over, I'll have a Luigi's SF Italian Ice for a later night snack!  I just realized that there are 20 carbs in those little guys!  Hope that helps...sorry this is so long!

Hang in there...it will pass!  Mix it up a little....do some exercise you don't normally do and eat some things you don't normally do...and maybe a little more calories than you normally do...sometimes it helps!  I don't like getting on the scale on Sunday mornings...the scale is always up at least .7 pounds!!  It goes back down...but drives me crazy!

2 years and 3 months post op. I can comfortably eat 3 oz of protein and a couple of bites of veggies or a small salad. Today I had egg salad for breakfast (2 eggs), 2.5 oz of roast beef for lunch and 3 oz of liver with three forkfuls of green beans for dinner. I am full full full! I drink tea (with milk) all day long and usually get in about 2.5 liters this way plus the milk. I have a large coffee also with milk in the morning when I wake up.

This is the thing though. I could easily eat three times as much if I ate every couple of hours or ten times as much if I graze all day. And of course there is no restriction on sliders at all. And some foods are highly caloric even if in small quantities. And sometimes it is really hard knowing all that.

4 years out - up to 12 oz, depending on what it is.  Usually around a cup's worth on average.  I eat meat (all kinds), dairy, veggies, very limited fruit, almost no refined carbs (bread, pasta), and stay away from sugar on general principal.  I still drink a protein drink a day, usually for breakfast since I'm always pressed for time and on the move.  My capacity has been the same since I was 16 months out, and I still very much have a "hard stop" if I get close to eating too much.

I'm 9 months post-op.  I eat three meals a day and try to avoid any snacks.  Sometimes I succeed, sometimes I don't.  Meal #1 is always a protein shake (powder with almond milk).  Meals #2 and #3 are 4 ounces of food with at least 3 of those ounces being protein.
