I am 2 weeks 1 day post op. My instructions from the hospital was to take in 64 oz daily on a liquid diet. At the beginning, I was taking in 4 oz an hour x 16 = 64 oz. Now, I feel like I can drink 5 or 6 oz during the hour. Is this normal? Am I stretching or overdoing it? I'm such a worry wart, sorry! Thanks!! Karen

Totally normal! I started out just like you, though I strove for 2 oz every 15 minutes. At two weeks out I could almost manage that 8 oz of liquid in under an hour! By week three getting in all my liquids and then some was not a problem.

Once the swelling reduces in your sleeve it becomes pretty easy to get all the water in that you need. You just need to remember to do it.

Sounds to me like you're doing GREAT!

That is perfect. It shows you are healing up nicely and the swelling is going down.

Thanks, Kairk! I feel better about it now. I never thought about the stomach swelling. Glad I'm normal!

Thanks again,,,, Karen
