Has anyone done a reboot? What was the plan? How long? How much did you lose?

What do you mean by reboot?

If we mean the same thing (kind of a kickstart again), I'm doing it now. My surgeon's office recommended trying a 2 week on/4 week off diet plan. For two weeks, I'm returning to the full liquid diet (protein shakes, yogurt, sugar free jell-o and pudding, cream soups, etc). Then a smart eating plan for four weeks. Then two weeks... 4 weeks... until I hit goal.

I just started yesterday, so can't say yet.

What's a reboot?

I think that if you feel like things aren't working, you should work on getting back to basics, which is different that doing a "reboot."  First, start by tracking every single thing you put into your mouth with something like MyFitnessPal.  That will show you what you're consuming and what you need to change.  From there, figure out what your basics are.  Here are mine, yours might be slightly different:

1. Prioritize protein and water
2. Deprioritize carbs, especially the refined and processed ones
3. Make the most of healthy fats
4. Eat three meals a day with no snacks
5. Avoid liquid calories (breakfast protein shake is the exception)
6. Weigh portions
7. Eat mindfully and with no distractions aside from real live people
8. Move as much as possible
9. Weigh myself daily
10. Be kind to myself

I like to think of it as refocus, started this on Sunday, back to proteins, veg, water, yes the basics, cut out all processed carbs, and watching the grams of carbs. down 5# since Sunday. Hooooray

It sounds like it's "eating the way you're supposed to eat." :)  If we don't make these things a lifestyle change, we'll get into a never-ending cycle of reboots.
