semi sweet experience today

I went to the store to buy pants today and notice I am pretty much the same size. That did make me a bit depressed but the good thing is I weighed myself today and I'm down another 4 pounds. You win some and lose some I guess.

I didn't need new clothes until I'd lost over 50 pounds.  I figure that my clothes were too tight/stretched out when I had surgery, so I had to lose enough weight for them to fit correctly before losing more to need smaller clothes.

I do feel that the clothes fit me better. Thanks for the insight!

When I was bigger, I could go 50 pounds before I needed the next smaller size. As I got smaller, new sizes came closer and closer together.

This has been my experience as well.  The 1st 3 months, I was able to maintain the same clothes, they just started feeling loose.  Afterwards, I lose a size about every 6 weeks.

I lost heaps of weight before I needed to drop a size. The size 26s that I had were all as tight as hell and stretched to the brink of their capacity - and they were the more generous of size 26 clothes that I could find. To comfortably actually FIT a 24 was a long wait!

I had a couple of minor NSV's yesterday.  I put on a T-shirt that I had not worn since surgery.  Usually it puckers outward in the gut.  Now it looks baggy.  Then I put on my jeans that I would wear on and off when I lost weight and before I gained it back.  They fit perfectly.  Since all of my other pants are getting loose I decided to buy a belt.  Last time I could not find one that fit in the women's section. I had to buy a men's belt.  Yesterday, I bought a 1x lady's.  I almost fit in the large last hole.  Small victories but made me proud.
