Thinking about tummy tuck!

So I never thought about this until recently.   My stomach has gone down a lot but I now have lose skin.  It's not a lot and I can hide it well in my cloths but I feel weird when I'm getting undressed in front of my boyfriend.   He thinks I look great but say if it's what I want he supports me.

Has anyone gotten this done and are you pleased with the results.

Oh heck yea!!!!   I carried the bulk of my weight in the belly area, so once I hit goal I still had a nasty little muffin top that nothing could be done with. I never thought the TT would give me a flat stomach, but it totally did. I was fortunate, as insurance paid for the panectomy (spelling)... so it was only 2K for the rest. I am crazy happy that I went though with it.

What was the recovery time.

My doc said 2 weeks until I could (at the earliest) return to work. I went back at 4 weeks, as I did it over the holiday break. I was still pretty darn sore... but work was manageable. The recovery can be a bit of a process for sure, but it is entirely manageable and utterly worth it. I recovered a bit slower than normal as well, likely due to some of the medication I was on for cancer related issues so my experience may not be entirely typical as a result. You for sure will NOT want to be lifting anything for months on end though.

I am about 17 days out from a lower body lift whi*****luded the tummy tuck with muscle tightening, breast  lift with augmentation, brachioplasty(arms), and mons lipo.  The muscle tightening was the worst pain. I won't lie, its been a tough recovery but manageable with pain meds and having my husband to help me.  I am back to work tomorrow and will do my best to take it easy.  I can say that the results are immediate and I haven't regretted the surgery once.

You mean the FUPA doesn't go away after all this weightloss?  Ugh.

For most of us, no. It does not go away. And if you get a tummy tuck, you need to make sure your surgeon includes the mons lift or that area looks worse when your tummy is flat.

Oh dear, that is a **** ton of surgery at once! Take it easy indeed! I second the muscle tightening being the hardest part. I am pretty sure if I only had the panni done and the mons lift I would have been up and running about much faster. I had 2 different plastic surgeons- one of which did not agree that I needed the muscle tightening, and that I would be unhappy with the scar. The guy who did it warned that without it I would still muffin top a bit. I could care less about scars so I went with the vertical cut and muscle tightening. 1 year out the portion of the scar below the belly button is faded enough to blend in, but above the belly button to the bra band area is still highly noticeable on my super pale skin. But, I have a gajillion scars from all of the cancer surgery so I could care less. I am not one to wear a bikini or expose the middrift in any capacity, and the flat tummy has been amazing!
