1 month post-op PCP visit
My visit went better than I expected. I had been so upset that I gained weight after surgery so I was very nervous to weigh in. I intentionally did not weigh myself at home until now (I confirmed my home scale weight with the doctor's scale).
I'm so relieved that I have lost 20 pounds. I really wanted this to work. This week has been remarkably better - I can bend much better now, some real improvements in my scar/incision healing. My PCP seemed really pleased with my and my husband's progress. He's 5 weeks ahead of me in his recovery.
I meet with my surgeon in 2 weeks for a 6 week post-op follow up. I think I'm on my way.
I appreciate everyone on the forum. The people and information here has made a big difference for for my husband and me.
Thank you everyone!

glad your doing great many people gain the first week or so after surgery m,y office told se not to weigh our self the first week and to weight till we see our pcp after 1 week and the surgeon after 2 weeks ( there scales are 5 lb different)
Yup, didn't even want to try and upset myself weighing at home. And my husband is now getting closer to be able to weigh in at the PCP since their scale only goes to 350. Slowly but surely we are making good progress.

Recovery was challenging enough to not add weighing into the mix. I was really upset by the weight gain in the hospital so I was really trying to go easy on myself. We're pleased with our progress so far.
