So I start my pre op diet tomorrow and my family is coming to my house to take all the food out that does not adhere to the diet(luckily I live alone)... I think it's a little extreme but hey... I gotta mission to achieve

Best of luck to you!  I gets easier after about the 3rd day.  I just kept in mind that I didn't want to do anything to jeopardize my upcoming surgery, which helped me get through the rough patches.  Sounds like you are doing what you can to make this pre-op time a success.  Good for you!

Not extreme at all! In fact, a huge help. Every so often I clean house to make sure I don't have any trigger foods around. For example, the other night I tossed a jar with some peanut butter left because I knew I was feeling weak. Sometimes I won't let my husband bring certain things into our kitchen. He has a shelf that's high up and I tell him to push stuff back so I can't see it. Extreme? Maybe. But it gets the job done. He can eat his cereal and crackers while I'm at work.

Good for you! I am also in my Pre-Op Liquid stage. Thursday is Garbage Day here. So last Thursday I tossed a lot. And I am going to toss the rest this Thursday. I am so excited about my upcoming surgery, I am not sad at all! :-)

I live alone too with no family close by and as bad as i felt looking at that empty fridge I felt good all over knowing that I was getting a fresh start, a clean slate if you will. And i was kind of happy my cupboards and fridge matched my ideology.
