So this is day 8 of being sick. Do you think this surgery and diet lowers immune system at all? I'm not usually sick for more than a couple days. Also I'm really craving chocolate when I'm usually a tart/sour person. Could be this damn valentine ads though.

I'd be willing to bet the surgery lowers resistance to infectious bugs. Hope your bug clears up soon. As far as your chocolate craving goes, it could be worse -- You could be staying (as I am) in Hershey, Pennsylvania, for a few weeks. Even the streetlamps have chocolate kiss coverings.

I've heard that if you are craving chocolat, you are low in magnesium, I've seen other posts to get a little bit of dark chocolate. I take 500mg of magnesium a day.

I've been super healthy post-op.  No colds, flus, or sinus infections which I used to get with frequency.

Gwen, I was thinking the same thing.  I have been the healthiest the past 6 months post-op that I have ever been.  I think that the surgery focuses us on healthier eating habits, vitamin regime and a much healthier lifestyle.

I'll try the magnesium. This flu is going around, maybe it's just a bad one and my system is a little down after surgery etc.

I've been healthier since the sleeve than at any point in my life!  I used to get down with respiratory issues every winter eventually having to get to the doc for a steroid pack to breathe again.  That has not happened in 2 years!  Now, I'll feel a cold coming on and be sure that I'm headed for the ditch, then I simply fight it off! I've had the exact opposite experience!
