Just basically got told off by a 90 lb blond

The AMA considers obesity to be a disease.  Treatment is very limited these days.  Severe problem - severe treatment.  So, HR might council her some.  That said, people who have not shared our journey simply cannot understand it.  Some may be nice and empathetic but even they don't understand fully how our lives were before surgery and how we came to our decision.  People can therefore give their opinions from ignorance (some are very much more free to give their opinions than others).  I have personally not had someone be very vocal about this to my face.  I have been very open about the surgery though and have helped some understand it better.  Not everyone will be supportive and some will be downright rude about ANYTHING we do.  Especially people with no reference point.  Now... here is my blind spot.  A number of years ago I was in a weight loss program and, while I was super strict on on point with the diet, I didn't lose much weight compared to others in my group.  The director of the program took me aside and told me her story.  She was super thin.  As it turns out, she wanted to be a professional dancer.  Her metabolism was such that when she practiced dancing enough to be on stage, she could not maintain her weight and would get dangerously thin.  I couldn't relate to that.  I would never personally dream of calling someone skinny and tell them that milkshakes were the "easy way out" but I will say that I thought skinny people had it made.  We all have made bad assumptions about people, this girl was just very rude and vocal.  So, that's the main problem, I'd just take that into account when deciding what to interact with her about in the future.  You can't fix stupid and often can't fix rude.

Sorry about that!  That sucks, but she'll never get it.

On the flip side, you may want to throw her a bucket f chicken and ask if she has any eating disorders.

Congrats on the 120!!
