Its just a number, right?

Congrats on the 200 Club !!!!

Here is the deal...... at least for me.

I never gave much thought to "It's just a number"

As overweight obese peoples..... we have a very natural tendency to "hate" the scale.... it has always been the bearer of bad news.

I love my scale, we lost 200lbs. together. The scale has become my partner and friend in this process. It tells it like it is, it's consistent and I'm the variable.

At this point I don't (for me) buy into the "It's just a number"...... my thought is it's a cop out in a lot of cases and a reason for a lot of people to fall short of their desired outcomes.

Embrace the number, WL and maintenance is pretty much all about caloric intake and that number on the scale.

Many people will have some psychological reason for not setting themselves up for disappointment..... it's individual, but not for me. I need boundaries and that number dictates a lot of those boundaries.

Stay strong and keep the path !!!!

Thanks, Frisco! I am not trying to use the "it's just a number" as a cop out. In the past, I have been a little too obsessed with the scale and when it didn't move quickly enough I would use it as an excuse. This time, I am just trying to place my focus on following the process and not coming up with excuses. I will do everything possible to stay strong and on the path. You are a great example to follow!

Holy cow!  That's AMAZING!!!!  I bet if you went to the gym and tried to pick up 200lb, you probably couldn't!  Congratulations!  I'm glad you're taking a moment to applaud this number, as it truly is a momentous one!
