Cold verses hot drinks

I found that I am able to drink hot drinks a lot better than cold drinks. With cold I feel like each sip is an big bubble going down yet with hot drinks I can drink normally as I was able to before. Anyone else notice this?

I'm feeling the same thing.  Anything cold feels almost like it cramps my muscles going down.  For me, warm is relaxing and soothing.  I even drank my flavored water warm last night.  Weird!

I can drink both now, but at the beginning, warm went down way better!

Yup, and even 4 months out I still prefer warm or room temp over cold

Both will eventually be ok.  I preferred warm or hot early on.  Now cold is great too.

Same here even 18 months out. I don't even refrigerate my green tea. Very seldom do I drink cold anything. Hot herbal tea is my mainstay all thru the day. I even drink hot chocolate ( Nestle Fat Free is fantastic!) I could not drink anything cold the first 6 months and after that I didn't want any beverage cold

This is fairly common immediately post-op.  It'll change with time!
