I have my pre-surgery endoscopy this Wednesday. I feel super nervous, as I'm "only" down 8 pounds in 6 weeks. I lose weight SO slowly, always have (hence the reason I've never stuck to a diet long enough to hit goal). I'm worried my doctor is going to be disappointed and yell at me. I can't schedule my pre-surgery appointment or schedule surgery until I hit 13 pounds lost. My office requires a 5% weight loss prior to scheduling surgery.

Anyhow, how is the endoscopy? Did you feel fine relatively quickly after that same day? I have people coming over for my monthly card club and never thought to reschedule it. Debating what to do....

its nothing but you can't drive after-would

I had a colonoscopy  at the same time but for that you need to do a bowel prep

(liquid diet and laxatives) Im over 50 and my pcp said I should get one so I did both at once

The endoscopy is nothing to worry about.  I woke up and felt fine.  You shouldn't have any problem with your club.

I'm sure your doctor won't yell at you nor be disappointed.  Everyone loses at a different rate.  If you're sticking to his pre-op diet, the rest should come off before long.
